    Vote-by-mail ballots start going out

    Every registered voter in San Mateo County is mailed a ballot — you do not need to request one. Early vote centers also open in San Mateo, Redwood City and South San Francisco.

  2. Oct 6 – Nov 3 Through Election Day

    Ballot drop boxes open

    Official drop-off locations are available countywide — at least one for every 15,000 registered voters. Drop your sealed ballot at any of them.

    County sample ballot mailed

    The sample ballot and voter information guide are mailed to every registered voter.

    Voter registration deadline

    Last day to register to vote the regular way. Miss it and you can still register and vote in person at any vote center through Election Day.

    Conditional voter registration: if you missed the deadline, register and vote in person at any vote center, right through Election Day.

    Vote centers open for early voting

    11-day vote centers open across the county — roughly one for every 50,000 voters. Vote in person, drop off a ballot, or get a replacement.

    Vote centers are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before today. Millbrae City Council, District 4 is on your ballot.
