MEET BOB
A transparent and accountable neighbor asking to stay on Millbrae City Council, District 4.
My name is Bob Nguyen, and I am the current Councilmember representing Millbrae District 4, where I have served since 2024. My wife, who is Chinese American, and I have called Millbrae home for more than 10 years, raising our family and building deep roots in this community. My commitment to public service began in 2022, when I stepped forward as a write-in candidate to ensure District 4 voters had a real choice, earning 26.69% of the vote — an extraordinary showing that reflected meaningful support from neighbors across the district.
I'm running to keep Millbrae safe, livable, and financially strong while planning responsibly for the future. My approach is balanced, practical, and data-driven — focused on protecting our neighborhoods, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring City Hall listens to the people it serves.

More than 10 years ago
Moved to Millbrae and set down roots—choosing our city as the place to build a home and raise a family.
2022
In 2022 I ran as a write-in candidate so District 4 voters would have a real choice, earning 26.69% of the vote — an extraordinary result for a write-in campaign.
2024
Joined the Millbrae City Council representing District 4, and have been working for our neighborhoods ever since — on the budget, our streets, and the decisions that shape this city.
Open communication about challenges, tradeoffs, and how decisions are made. No spin, no hidden agendas.
Listen to all sides, weigh evidence carefully, and make decisions that serve the whole community—not just the loudest voices.
Show up, do the work, follow through on commitments, and be accountable for results.
I'm family-oriented and spend a lot of time with my kids, connecting with other parents and families in Millbrae. These everyday interactions—with business owners, at parks and community events—remind me what makes our city special: we know our neighbors, we care about each other's well-being, and we want Millbrae to remain a place where families can thrive.
That's why I'm staying. I want to bring that neighborhood perspective—grounded, practical, and focused on what matters most to District 4 families—to our City Council.
