MEET BOB

Meet Bob Nguyen

A transparent and accountable neighbor running for Millbrae City Council, District 4.

Bob Nguyen, candidate for Millbrae City Council District 4

Rooted in Millbrae.

My wife, who is Chinese American, and I have called Millbrae home for more than 10 years, raising our family and building deep roots in this community. My commitment to public service began in 2022, when I stepped forward as a write-in candidate to ensure District 4 voters had a real choice, earning 26.69% of the vote — an extraordinary showing that reflected meaningful support from neighbors across the district.

Since joining the City Council in 2024, I've continued working to represent our neighborhoods and serve the community we're proud to call home. I'm running for City Council to keep Millbrae a safe, livable, and financially stable place to raise our families. Our city is only roughly 3 by 3 miles, but we face real pressures from regional growth, infrastructure needs, and rising costs. I want to bring a balanced, data-driven approach that protects our neighborhoods while planning responsibly for the future.

What Guides My Decisions

Transparency & Honesty

Open communication about challenges, tradeoffs, and how decisions are made. No spin, no hidden agendas.

Respect for Neighbors & Balanced Decision-Making

Listen to all sides, weigh evidence carefully, and make decisions that serve the whole community—not just the loudest voices.

Responsibility & Follow-Through

Show up, do the work, follow through on commitments, and be accountable for results.

A Personal Note

I'm family-oriented and spend a lot of time with my kids, connecting with other parents and families in Millbrae. These everyday interactions—with business owners, at parks and community events—remind me what makes our city special: we know our neighbors, we care about each other's well-being, and we want Millbrae to remain a place where families can thrive.

That's why I'm running. I want to bring that neighborhood perspective—grounded, practical, and focused on what matters most to District 4 families—to our City Council.
